Rachel Atkins, MA, MEd, OCT, RP (Qualifying)

Registered Psychotherapist & Educator
Rachel Atkins is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with a Bachelor of Education, a Master of Education in Developmental Psychology, and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology.

Before becoming a psychotherapist, Rachel spent several years working in school settings as a special education teacher, homeroom teacher, and learning strategist. In these roles, she supported students navigating learning differences, academic stress, emotional challenges, and social development, while collaborating closely with families and school teams.

This background gives Rachel a strong understanding of the pressures children and adolescents face in academic environments. In her therapy work, she often supports young people experiencing school-related stress, self-esteem challenges, and the complexities of neurodivergence.

Rachel works from a person-centred approach, creating compassionate, non-judgmental spaces where clients feel safe exploring their emotions and experiences. She is committed to helping children and youth build confidence, develop coping tools, and foster meaningful connections in their lives.
