Child & Youth Counsellor
Crystal Smith is a clinical child and youth counsellor with over six years of experience supporting children and adolescents with a wide range of mental health challenges. She is currently completing her Master of Social Work at the University of Toronto and brings a strong, compassionate, and strengths-based approach to her therapeutic work.

Crystal specializes in supporting young people who experience varying levels of emotional and behavioural acuity. She has a naturally calm, grounded presence and deeply understands the impact that tone, language, and emotional attunement have on children and families. Her goal is always to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel understood and empowered.

Crystal is proficient in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Adolescent Behavioural Activation (ABA). She combines her strong intuition with a flexible, individualized therapeutic style, drawing from multiple therapy models to meet the unique needs of each child or youth. She helps clients build confidence, strengthen coping skills, and develop tools that support their emotional and behavioural well-being.

Crystal has extensive experience supporting children and youth with anxiety, mood disorders, personality disorders, trauma, behavioural challenges, parent–child conflict, peer issues, school avoidance, and difficulties related to autism. Her approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in a deep belief in each young person’s capacity for growth.
