Anna Ekins is a trauma and anxiety therapist who supports individuals in transforming patterns shaped by past experiences. She helps clients move beyond feelings of being stuck, overwhelmed, avoidant, or fearful so they can move toward a more hopeful, empowered future. Anna uses an emotion-focused, mind–body approach and is committed to creating a safe, compassionate, and collaborative therapeutic space. Her goal is to help clients reconnect with their inner voice so they can make choices based on what truly matters to them not on automatic trauma or anxiety responses.

Anna believes that clients are the experts in their own lives. She works collaboratively to develop individualized therapy plans grounded in coping skill development, exploration of past experiences, and problem-solving for future goals. Her approach integrates a wide range of evidence-based models and treatments, including:

  • Attachment-based therapy

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

  • Emotion-Focused Therapy & Emotion-Focused Skills Training for Parents

  • Somatic, body-based therapies

Anna is a Certified EMDR Therapist and is registered to provide services through the Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) Mental Health Counselling Program and the Indian Residential Schools Resolution Health Support Program (IRS RHSP) through Health Canada. She is dedicated to helping clients cultivate emotional safety, resilience, and meaningful change.
