In addition to her private practice in North York, Dr. Kirsh oversees psychological treatment and psychoeducational assessment services at Whole Heart Mental Health & Wellness. Since 2004, she has held a clinical position with the Eating Disorders Program at North York General Hospital (NYGH), and previously worked in the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Clinic at NYGH. Her extensive background includes roles supporting youth and adults through complex emotional, behavioural, and medical concerns.
Dr. Kirsh completed her Specialized Honours degree in Psychology at York University, followed by her Master’s and PhD in Clinical Psychology at Western University. Her pre-doctoral internship at The Hospital for Sick Children focused on the assessment and treatment of anxiety, psychoeducational evaluations for children with learning disabilities, ADHD, and head injuries, and research involving adolescents with eating disorders. She went on to complete a post-doctoral fellowship at SickKids, contributing to research and community outreach in eating disorder prevention. Dr. Kirsh also gained further clinical experience through the Anxiety Treatment and Research Centre and the Eating Disorders Program at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton.
