Janet Gu, MN, NP-PHC

Nurse Practitioner
Janet Gu is a Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner who specializes in mental health care for children, adolescents, and adults with ADHD. As a Nurse Practitioner, she is able to provide diagnostic assessments, prescribe and manage medication, and offer psychotherapy. Janet brings more than thirteen years of nursing experience from both community and hospital settings across the globe.

Janet is deeply committed to providing accessible, high-quality mental health support. She uses a strengths-based, collaborative approach and places strong value on building therapeutic relationships where clients feel empowered, heard, and supported in their growth and recovery. Her work is grounded in compassion, respect, and a belief in each person’s potential for meaningful change.

Janet completed her Master of Nursing at the University of Toronto and her Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner Program at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University). Her broad clinical background and holistic perspective support her ability to meet clients where they are and provide individualized, evidence-based care.

Outside of her work, Janet enjoys spending time with loved ones, traveling, learning new languages, and building her cooking skills. She brings the same curiosity, warmth, and openness from her personal life into her practice.
