Bridget is a Paediatric Nurse Practitioner specializing in child and adolescent mental health. She feels all health care should be holistic and takes a client and family-centred approach in her assessments and therapy sessions. She has extensive experience working with children and adolescents and their families, including those struggling with anxiety, obsessions and compulsions, gender diversity, attention deficit/hyperactivity, personality challenges, depression, psychosis, autism, and eating disorders. Bridget understands the importance of identifying individual and family strengthens and using these to foster overall wellness. Bridget places nutrition, physical activity, sleep, and time in nature as essential components for health. She is passionate about the use of yoga for treatment and wellness and spends her free time on her mat, with her baby Holland Lop bunnies, or with family and friends.
Bridget has a Master’s Degree in Nursing and Paediatric Nurse Practitioner certification from the University of Toronto. She started her nursing career as a Registered Nurse with the Adolescent Medicine and Psychiatry inpatient programs at the Hospital for Sick Children and has worked at McMaster Children’s Hospital in the Eating Disorders Program. She currently works with the Sleep Medicine Program at the Hospital for Sick Children. She has dedicated her career to Child and Adolescent Mental Health and has certification in both Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. She also has experience in parent coaching and family therapy. Bridget holds certification in trauma informed and restorative yoga practices. As a nurse practitioner, Bridget is licensed to provide a diagnosis and to prescribe medications.
